2025 Spring Symposium & Research Forum

Thank you to all who attended the

2025 WACEP Spring Symposium & EM Research Forum

The Edgewater Hotel | Madison, WI

WACEP held the the 2025 Spring Symposium at the Edgewater Hotel in Madison, WI on April 2-3, 2025.  The symposium included hot topics in EM, coding and documentation, improving safety, a workshop on nerve blocks and ultrasound and hand emergencies.  Wisconsin's own Dr. Michael Pulia served as teh keynote speaker and spoke on "Designing the Future of Infectious Disease Management in the ED".  The Annual Membership Meeting celebrated WACEP's accomplishments for the year and honored Dr. William Falco with the Distinguished Service Award;  Drs. Leah Morgan (UW) and Sarah Russell (MCW) with the annual Resident Advocate Awards and thanked Dr. Kerry Ahrens for her services as WACEP President. The Research Forum also handed out awards for best Best Overall Poster Presentation, Best Overall Oral Presentation, Best Resident or Fellow Presentation, and Best Student Presentation.

Partnering with the the Departments of Emergency Medicine at both the University of Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin, WACEP hosts the annual Wisconsin Emergency Medicine Research Forum during its Spring Symposium, which includes poster sessions and oral presentations. Thank you to all of our presenters, attendees and exhibitors who were able to join us!
