Membership in the Wisconsin Chapter, ACEP is coupled with membership in ACEP. Your membership with ACEP and WACEP are up for renewal on an anniversary year determined by your join date.  Please renew and submit payment for your annual dues prior to your expiration date.

Membership is available to emergency physician specialists who meet one of the following requirements:

  • Satisfactory completion of an emergency medicine residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  • Satisfactory completion of an emergency medicine subspecialty-training program accredited by ACGME
  • Satisfactory completion of an emergency medicine residency training program accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
  • Satisfactory completion of an emergency medicine residency program approved by an ACEP-recognized accrediting body in a foreign country.
  • Certification by an emergency medicine certifying body recognized by ACEP.
  • Or eligible for active or international membership in the College at any time prior to the close of business December 31, 1999


Now offering direct ACH payment options
We are excited to announce that ACEP now offers the option to pay your membership dues through direct ACH transfers, also known as electronic check. ACH transfers are electronic, bank-to-bank money transfers processed through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network. Not only does this make your renewal seamless, but it also saves our chapter money! Paying by ACH greatly reduces the fees that ACEP and our chapter must remit to the credit card companies and allows us to put more dollars directly towards the advocacy efforts and other member benefits that you value.

This new payment option is available on the membership application for new and renewing members, while those who are using installments and auto-renew can easily update their payment information any time by accessing the Payment Methods section of My Account on ACEP's website.

What’s WACEP done for you lately?
  • WACEP is continually advocating to improve Medicaid reimbursement rates and because of WACEP's grassroots efforts there was a 15% increase included in the Governor's budget. The first in over a decade. 
  • WACEP took a lead role in civil liability reform during COVID-19;
  • WACEP developed a Public Service Announcement that EDs are safe and open during the pandemic;
  • WACEP initiated a Rural Outreach Program to engage members outside of the Milwaukee/Madison corridor;
