WACEP held the the 2024 Spring Symposium at the Brookfield Conference Center in Brookfield, March 6-7, 2024.  The symposium included hot topics in EM, a Chapter 51 panel discussion, coding and documentation, ways to improve as an Emergency Physician, an update on synthetich opioids, managing pain and more.  Dr. Comilla Sasson, MD, FACEP, FAHA; Vice President Healthcare Business Solutions, American Heart Association and the Colorado Permanente Medical Group joined us as the Keynote speaker and spoke about Decreasing Disparities in Cardiach Arrest Survival Using Health Services Research.  The Annual Membership Meeting celebrated WACEP's accomplishments for the year and honored Dr. Paul Casey with the Distinguished Service Award;  Dr. Brittany Kotek (UW) and Alexis Ray (MCW) with the annual Resident Advocate Awards. 

Partnering with the the Departments of Emergency Medicine at both the University of Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin, WACEP hosts the annual Wisconsin Emergency Medicine Research Forum during its Spring Symposium, which includes poster sessions and oral presentations.
