A major strategic goal of the Wisconsin Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians is to advocate on behalf of emergency physicians, the patients we serve, and our profession as a whole. Engagement in the legislative and governmental affairs process significantly impacts outcomes for protecting these interests.   Hundreds of laws are introduced each legislative session, and regulatory agencies ensure the resulting rules are followed in practice. It is vital that WACEP members make our voices heard and our positions known, and this can be done in a number of ways:

• Coordinated lobbying activities through WPA’s contract Lobbyist, Hubbard Wilson Zelenkova LLC.
• Grassroots lobbying by contacting your local legislators
• Testifying before the State Assembly
•  Respond to Legislative Action Alerts and Calls-to-Action from the WACEP office
