CME ACCREDITATION: This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the American College of Emergency Physicians and Wisconsin Chapter, American College of Emergency Physicians (WACEP). The American College of Emergency Physicians is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

MAT / WAIVER TRAINING OVERVIEW SESSION: Opioid State Targeted Response Technical Assistance Program: MAT, Waiver Training, and the Three-Day Rule: This course is seperately accredited for CME and will provide attendees with a working knowledge of how to initiate Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for patients with Opioid Use Disorder, and how to safely treat acute opioid withdrawal in the ED. Presented by Eric Ketcham, MD, MBA, FACEP, FACHE, this activity is accredited separately from the rest of the conference.

ANNUAL EMERGENCY MEDICINE RESEARCH FORUM: WACEP recognizes the efforts being taken to develop innovative models of care, caring for unique patients, furthering research and contributing to education across our state. In partnership with the Departments of Emergency Medicine at both the University of Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin, WACEP hosts the annual Wisconsin Emergency Medicine Research Forum during its Spring Symposium, which includes poster sessions and oral presentations. Questions may be directed to WisconsinEMresearch@gmail.com. The Research Forum is not accredited for continuing medical education. For planning purposes, participants who wish to attend the Research Forum sessions only are required to register.
EMERGENCY ULTRASOUND WORKSHOP: Topics covered include basic principles of point of care ultrasound, lung ultrasound, and cardiac ultrasound. This course will include didactic learning and hands-on practice with models and novel simulation techniques. Registration is limited to 12 participants, and an additional registration fee of $75 is required.
